- When a Technician becomes available, your vehicle will be taken into the workshop for a comprehensive check and to complete the service your vehicle was booked in for.
- The Branch Manager or Foreman will then contact you with the Technicians findings to discuss any additional work that may be needed on your vehicle.
- Once the quotes for the additional repairs have been completed, the Branch Manager or Foreman will then contact you to seek your approval before we proceed with any quoted work.
- autoWORKS will then update you throughout the day to ensure you are kept up to date with the progress on your vehicle.
- After the service has been completed, your vehicle will go into quality control testing. This is to ensure that all the work done on your vehicle is according to manufacturer specifications.

We are sure you heard the terms
- OE (Original Equipment)
- OEM quality parts (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
- OES quality parts (Original Equipment supplier)
- Aftermarket parts
Let autoWORKS explain why these are the parts that we use to Service and Repair your vehicle –
OE (Original Equipment): The original equipment is your car
OEM Parts (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
The car manufacturer (OEM) makes the body, frame and sometimes the engine block and cylinder head. The OES (Original Equipment Supplier) supplies all the other parts in your vehicle.
OES (Original Equipment suppliers)
OES parts are made on the same assembly line as the “Genuine parts” except that the “genuine part” is branded with the car’s logo, and then gets wrapped and labelled in the agent's packaging.
What are Aftermarket parts?
These parts are not made for the car manufacturers. Sometimes, OES companies like Bosch and Valeo manufacture these parts, and other times it’s by a completely different manufacturer like Meyle. The main difference is they are not made completely to the cars manufacturers specifications. This is not always bad. One example is Bilstein. They are not an OEM/OES supplier, but they offer parts of matching quality as well.
For further details regarding the above, feel free to read through our blog.

Yes, autoWORKS supports Right to Repair!
Right to Repair means you are not forced to repair or service your car at the dealership from which it was purchased, while it is still under the manufacturer’s warranty. You are now empowered to choose where you wish to service your vehicle, without the risk of your warranty being voided.
Your warranty claim can on be declined if the manufacturer finds that a warranty related failure is due to:
- Incorrect servicing or servicing not done as specified by the vehicle manufacturer
- Poor workmanship
- Part failure
With this being said, the whole warranty cannot be voided. Only the section/s of the warranty that relate to the failure/damage may be voided, the remainder of the warranty must be honoured by the manufacturer.
To maintain your warranty, all parts used on your vehicle should be of the same or higher quality than that of the original. OES (Original Equipment supplier) parts and oils, are parts of the same quality as the parts used by the agents and are sourced from companies such as Bosch, NGK, Textar or Ravenol that manufacture parts for the OEM's.

autoWORKS is able to work with most Insurance companies.
Please see the process below when using an extended warranty:
- Your vehicle will need to be in our workshop and stay for the duration of the claim.
- Your vehicle will need to be assessed by one of our technicians.
- Once the Technician has provided us with the fault report, autoWORKS will then do the quotations.
- If your insurance requests that we strip the vehicle first, autoWORKS will then inform you and request if we can proceed, as this cost will then fall on you.
- To approve the claim, autoWORKS will contact your insurance company with the quoted amounts and provide them the following details:
- Your policy number/ID number
- Failure report
- Pictures of faulty parts
- Service history (last 2 or 3 services)
- Quotation/s
- Should your Insurance wants to send out an assessor, we will inform you. This process can take around 48 hours to complete.
- Once we have received authorization from your insurance company, we will contact you to confirm the outstanding amount and discuss any shortfalls there may be.
- autoWORKS will then complete the repair according to manufacturer specifications.
When should you not drive your vehicle:
- Yellow Warning Light - a yellow warning light means something in your vehicle is not working as it should and needs to be assessed as soon as possible. In the event of a yellow warning light you can drive your vehicle to the nearest workshop.
- Red Warning Light - a red warning light means that something is seriously wrong with your vehicle. If a red light appears we recommend stopping the car as soon as it is safe to do so and checking your vehicle's manual for further instructions.
- Overheating - Pull your vehicle over on the side of the road and shut off your engine. Let your engine cool down and contact a towing company to assist with towing your vehicle to the nearest workshop.
- Losing Coolant - If your vehicle is losing small amounts of coolant at a time it is safe to drive your vehicle through to the nearest workshop. However, if your coolant is dropping quickly we recommend contacting a towing company to prevent further damage.
- Loud Noise - A loud noise from your vehicle can be related to your engine or suspension. Due to this, we recommend pulling your vehicle off onto the side of the road and contacting a towing company to assist you.
Most Insurance companies offer 2 free tows per year, we recommend contacting them first. If they are unable to assist you, then feel free to contact a private towing company of your choice.
