Cambelt
Most cambelts need to be changed at 90 000 km or after 6 years, but this can vary from every 60 000 km to 180 000 km. Cambelts age and can tear if not changed in time, which will cause major engine damage. Read more...

The change intervals vary from every 45 000 km to a "life-time" fill. But even for vehicles with a life-time fill the oil deteriorates and we recommend a change at around 200 000 km or 10 years. Read more...

Keep Your Car Running Smoothly
Citroen service checks are vital to ensure top motor performance.
If your Citroens’ sub-systems (engine, gearbox, air conditioning, tyres etc.) are poorly maintained, your car runs less efficiently and consumes more fuel. To keep your Citroen running at peak performance, you need to have it serviced regularly.
The maintenance indicator will inform you when the next service is due and corresponds with the schedule in your vehicle’s maintenance guide. This information is determined by two parameters: the mileage covered and the time elapsed since the previous service.
Citroen service checks are vital to ensure peak performance. If your Citroens’ sub-systems (engine, gearbox, air conditioning, tyres etc.) are poorly maintained, your car runs less efficiently and consumes more fuel. To keep your car running at peak performance, you need to have it serviced regularly by a professional maintenance and repair centre.
The following advice will keep your vehicle in good condition and allow you to drive with peace of mind:
Before a long drive, or at least every 1 900km, check the engine oil and coolant levels. It is very important that when checking the coolant levels the vehicle engine is cold.
Have the emissions of your vehicle checked; for commercial vehicles once a year and for a private car every 2 years.
At your Citroen's service, a number of parts will be checked, cleaned and/or replaced. Services will depend on the mileage and overall condition of your Citroen, and a typical car service could include the following:
-
Change oil and check oil filter
-
Top up all under bonnet fluid levels
-
Check pollen filter (if fitted)
-
Check brakes and brake fluid
-
Check steering
-
Check suspension and tyres
-
Change air filter
-
Change fuel filter
-
Change spark plugs if necessary
Ensure that you keep your Citroen in the best possible condition – regardless of what model you drive, it will perform best if you stick to your service plan properly. Treat it properly and your Citroen engine and other car parts will be running smoothly for years to come.
